"Fat Bubbles of Fortune" tells of the desire to cleanse oneself – whether of one’s own mistakes or of the dirty world – and refers to the deliberate disregard for the rules that society imposes on us. Tyler Durden already knew in Chuck Palahniuk’s Fight Club: “Soap and human sacrifice go hand in hand!, and uses the lye kiss as a symbol for their rebellion (edition I). The punk subculture straight edge refrains from using alcohol or drugs and marks its resistance with an X (edition II).

"Fat Bubbles of Fortune" erzählt vom Wunsch des Reinwaschens — sei es von den eigenen Fehlern oder der dreckigen Welt – und verweist auf die bewusste Missachtung der Hygieneregeln, die uns die Gesellschaft auferlegt. Tyler Durden wusste schon in Chuck Palahniuks Fight Club: "Seife und menschliches Leiden gehen Hand in Hand.", und verwendet den Kuss aus Lauge als Symbol für ihre Rebellion (Edition I). Die Punk-Subkultur Straight Edge verzichtet auf Alkohol und Drogen und markiert ihren Widerstand mit einem X (Edition II).
